Gram is a grouchy, boring dwarf who spends his days with the only thing he cares about banging iron into interesting shapes. I have to admit I wasn't exactly sure what I was getting myself into, but as I read I found that I couldn't put the book down. Sure there were some parts of the book that seemed to throw off the pacing and there was some events that seemed a bit rush or took a little too long to develop, but at the end of the day those pieces didn't take away from the book.Now I do have to say that I hope that this book will see a sequel, I would love to see a sequel of the book to see what might happen with the trolls, humans, dwarves, Gorman, and other races in this world.

I was looking to try something new from my normal reading and was taken by surprise by this book.
I can't wait for a sequel to 'Homes'!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I didn't want to put it down. As I neared the end, I was wary of how the stories would draw together for resolution. It's a tricky part of many books. I was not disappointed.
The author put the right detail where it mattered and left some ambiguity for the sake of imagination.
All around great read. I recommend it heartily.
In Homes, Kamal has created an absolutely fascinating adventure into an incredibly vivid imaginary world of caves and dwarf habitat! The characters are rich with descriptive details. The story is full of action and captivating twists and turns. I can easily imagine that Homes will provide the setting for future stories and can see it becoming "Homes The Movie!"
Phenomenal story development with great rising action and fully developed, complex characters that draw you deeper into this engaging tale. Please tell me there's a sequel in the works!!!
An unpredictable, exciting story that had me completely engulfed into this new landscape and society. I don't typically read a lot of fantasy, but found this one very accessible and relatable even for a "Dwarf-novice" like me, written with vivid description and a great balance of suspense, action, humor, and emotional depth. I hope there will be a sequel so I can continue following these characters to whom I've become so attached.
